Have I become a Pharisee?

Have I so much concentrated on the study of the word, the theology, the way our culture is affected that I have neglected the people around me? Have I become what Jesus taught not us to be, someone who cares so much about the style or reading, the search for the true meanings, the traditions, but neglected what Jesus, my Rabbi has taught, to love and care for the people around me?

It certainly feels and seems that way....

I think it's at times like these we all have to realize how hypocritical we have been (especially myself)...as I shared with you already, i would have no disagreement that we have become too much like the Pharisees...

And YET! God's love is still there man...just as he showed us through Jesus that love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud...

So while recognizing the possibility of us being Pharisee-like, it's by the grace of God that we can return...I do believe that God delights it when we see our mistakes and make a change...t'shuva as you like to say...

So as I have said to you, time and time again, be encouraged that when we all stumble and fall, Jesus is right there to pick us right up again, you can be SURE of that...
